Internship / Traineeship - Alliance & Partnerships

Support alliance building and partnership development activities across European R&D ecosystems. A learning-focused role within an international innovation environment.

You will assist the grant management and business development teams in identifying partners, mapping funding opportunities and supporting proposal preparation. This internship offers direct exposure to the European space, defence and innovation landscape.

• Assist in mapping and monitoring EU funding calls (Horizon Europe, ESA, EDF, national programmes)
• Support partner identification and outreach for consortium building
• Help maintain the partner and stakeholder database
• Assist in preparing proposal sections, partner descriptions and letters of support
• Support logistics for partner meetings, workshops and brokerage events
• Conduct desk research on strategic topics: market trends, policy developments, competitor analysis

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in International Relations, European Studies, Political Science, Engineering or related field
• Good written and spoken English (B2+); Italian is a plus
• Interest in European R&D policy, space and innovation ecosystems
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Organised and detail-oriented

• Knowledge of EU institutions and funding mechanisms
• Previous experience in project management or international relations
• Second European language (French, German, Spanish)
• Familiarity with ESA or European Commission programmes

• Curious about international collaboration and European innovation
• Proactive self-starter who takes initiative
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
