Internship / Traineeship - Robotics & Sensing
Job Description
Support technical research and development activities in robotics, sensing and embedded systems. A learning-focused role within an international innovation environment.
You will work alongside the engineering team on real-world projects involving sensor integration, robotic platforms and data acquisition. This internship provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in an applied R&D setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and testing of robotic and sensing prototypes
- Support sensor integration, calibration and data acquisition activities
- Help develop and test embedded software for sensing platforms
- Assist in laboratory experiments and field testing campaigns
- Contribute to technical documentation and project reports
- Support data collection and preliminary analysis for research activities
Must-have Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- Basic programming skills (Python, C/C++ or MATLAB)
- Interest in robotics, sensors and embedded systems
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to work in the lab
- Good English (B2+)
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
- Knowledge of electronics and PCB basics
- Experience with 3D printing or rapid prototyping
- Familiarity with microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32)
- Previous participation in robotics competitions or maker projects

- Curious and eager to learn new technologies
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a small technical team
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious in lab environments
