Drone Pilot & Field Data Analyst
Job Description
A precision agriculture company specialising in drone technology and IoT is hiring a Drone Pilot and Field Data Analyst to join their team. You will fly agricultural drones, collect multispectral data and produce actionable crop health reports for farming partners.
This role combines outdoor fieldwork with data analysis - perfect for someone passionate about agriculture and technology.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute drone survey missions over agricultural fields
- Collect multispectral, thermal and RGB imagery data
- Process drone data using photogrammetry software (Pix4D, DroneDeploy)
- Generate NDVI maps, crop health reports and irrigation recommendations
- Maintain and calibrate drone equipment and sensors
- Present findings to farmers and agronomists in clear, actionable reports
Must-have Requirements
- ENAC drone pilot license (A2 minimum, STS preferred)
- Experience with DJI Matrice or similar agricultural drones
- Knowledge of GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS)
- Understanding of agronomy basics and crop growth cycles
- Valid driving license (field travel required)
- Fluent Italian
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Engineering or Geomatics
- Python scripting for data processing automation
- Experience with IoT sensor networks
- Knowledge of EU CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) requirements

- Good communicator who can explain technical data to non-technical farmers
